There was a :10 or a :30 second TV spot that was briefer, and ONLY had the pumpkin/Nietzsche's skull image with the Loomis line and then one shot of The Shape doing something. But my memory's not that great because I seem to recall The Shape sitting at a kitchen table taking a big bite out of a sandwich with a glass of milk to one side (he has to push up the bottom of the mask) and I'm not sure that's entirely accurate.
No, no, that's entirely plausible. It's probably the scene right after he comes inside from finishing his paper route.
WIFE (coming outside onto the porch; looking around tensely)" Hello...? Hello...? Is anybody there?
HUSBAND (from inside; impatient): It's just the Meyers boy delivering the paper, dear. Get back in here.
