Is there a word for being disappointed by something you had little interest in to begin with? 'Cuz that's what that picture does to me.
I reiterate that you guys are ALL COMPLETELY INSANE. It looks great! He looks fantastic! Look at the cape! Look at the safe door! Look at the actual actor's face (rather than that fucking mannequin they had last time)!
This reminds me of back when I was the only person I knew who approved of Daniel Craig's casting.
I just never liked Superman the character. He's an almighty, unstoppable goodie two shoes ass butt.
Superman 2 is the only film I enjoyed but even as a kid I rooted for the 3 badasses.
JSP always had a great take on it. Person #1: "Omigod! Superman just did the most amazing thing!" Person #2: "Yeah, no shit. He's Superman."
I do think this, however, is a TOTAL improvement in the uniform, physique and face that we were subjected to last time. The only thing Routh had going for him was a pretty eerie channel of Reeve's mannerisms as Kent. That's it.
The closer they get to Alex Ross' version, the better.
