Philip Seymour Hoffman dies stupidly

Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his West Village apartment in New York City. The Academy Award winning actor (Capote) was 46. The NYPD confirms that police were called to 35 Bethune Place this morning and found Hoffman unresponsive at 11:30 a.m. Police are investigating to determine the cause of death, but a drug overdose is suspected. Law enforcement officials told the Associated Press that Hoffman was found with a syringe in his arm, within reach of glassine envelopes they suspect contained heroin.

“We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Phil and appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone,” Hoffman’s family said in a statement. “This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you respect our privacy during this time of grieving. Please keep Phil in your thoughts and prayers.”

Jeez, with the syringe still in his arm and everything. That is an embarrassing way to go out. Too bad, he was really talented.

That stinks, he was a good actor. They should just stick to smoking weed, it hasn't slowed Willy Nelson down and he's still kicking.
