Basic Instinct 2 edits

As expected that provocative cut of Basic Instinct 2 has been edited down to an "R" rating. This would be more intereting if I gave a rat's fart. From Moviesonline: The fellas behind Sony Pictures' "Basic Instinct 2" have cut a rather steamy 'Ménage à trois' from the upcoming sequel in order to to get an "R" rating. The film was threatened with an NC-17 rating because of that scene, but was handed a "hard R" once it was excised from the finished product. Curiously though, another sequence where Stone's character is pleasured by a man as she is driving a sports car through the streets of London happens to be allowed. That's Hollywood for ya.

"Basic Instinct 2" is due in theaters March 31, 2006. You can expect the Uncut and Unrated Basic Instinct on shelves by the end of this Summer.

"Hard R," snicker, snicker. Does that mean it's rated R and it's really hot?

I predict a big jump in bling when this goes on dvd...I don't know why, I just do.
