Horrorthon!
Only a pair of brothers could come up with a challenge as silly as this. Props to JPX and Summerisle for being the mega-geeks that started this off! And prepare to be buried! All of you!
Man, I wish this was starting at midnight tonight.
First rule of Horrorthon is: watch horror movies. Second rule of Horrorthon is: write about it. Warn us. Tempt us. The one who watches the most movies in 31 days wins. There is no prize.
Happy Halloween everybody! Julie's working late and the boy doesn't have school tomorrow so he's heading to one of those crazy f...

I told Octo that I could imagine a future in which you guys compete too see who can MAKE the greatest number of horror movies in October. (There is still no prize.)
Lots of, "Disqualified! Come on, you call that a 'movie'? It's only a minute and a half long, and the guy uses the bowie knife to put mustard on a sandwich." Other guy: "You don't think that's scary? I happen to think it's decidedly unnerving." etc.
That image is a painting called The Spectre of Monster Appeal by artist Todd Schorr. I wish I could've found a bigger version of it; it's crammed with cool tiny details. If you can, note the tiny human figure standing with his back to the viewer, centered down on the ground level. That, gentlemen, is us.
Jordan, that's hilarious.
Hmmmmmm.
Oh yes, I'm poised with my stack of films as well. Come 12:01am Sunday morning my slow assent to victory begins, hee hee hee...
That painting is very interesting.
hey octo & sweatpants (great name for a travelling vaudeville show, by the way), my girlfriend is out of town this weekend. want to kick off the thon with a midnight viewing of something tomorrow night?
Yes, but I'll be taking a lot of bathroom breaks and secretly watching another movie in there while you guys try in vain to beat my Super Pac-Man score. At the end of the night I'll be one movie ahead of you and you guys will be all mad and frothy.
God, I know I said I wish it were starting tonight, but there's also this wonderful "calm before the storm" feel about the next two days. I feel like I'm holding a meditative kung-fu stance or something.
I can't wait, and I just read the reviews! I was just trying to explain the whole thing to someone at work and couldn't remember the final scores of last year..anyone?
Sorry - just noticed the link on the home page...
Shoot, I'd love to do the midnight movie but we're going to a concert (Rogue Wave)... I'm already going to start with a defecit.
