Damnit, Catholics say it's okay to see The Golden Compass

From filmstalker, We can all breathe a sigh of relief as the Catholic Church have declared The Golden Compass safe to watch, and surprisingly going against the Catholic League who are still demanding that Catholics boycott the film.

The Catholic Church feels that the film doesn’t pose a threat to Catholics, and yet the Catholic League (of Extraordinary Gentlemen) believe that it does by leading people onto the books.

Perhaps a vicious turf war will erupt between the Church and the League and it will exhaust the treasuries of both organizations and the Vatican will be sold, turned into a natural history museum, and filled with a dinosaur skeleton exhibit.

I think that they realize that they can't fight the success of this movie so they'd rather not seem like (the) out-of-touch idiots (that they are).

We're seeing this at the good ol' drive-in!!

Once again: the wrong side of every issue. Lets:

2) Imprison Galileo

3) Ban all interesting literature

4) OBJECT TO RECREATIONAL SEX (for cryin' out loud)

etc. etc.
