First Look at the Teaser Poster for 'Mortuary'
From Bloody Disgusting, "On January 13th Tobe Hooper's Mortuary will be getting a limited theatrical release in California and today the poster for the release has hit the web. Look inside for the goods. The movie is about a family that moves to the town of Arkham, Massachusetts and takes on the job of running a local funeral home, where an evil presence resides in the adjoining cemetery."

Okay, is it me or do both these posters look pretty similar? You know, a single creepy element obscured by a lot of "texture." Some scary writing.
Perhaps I'm being a little glib about my beloved genre. The Mortuary poster is more effective than the House of the Dead 2 poster, but less effective than the Marebito one. How's that?
House of the Dead is officially a direct-to-video release now and will first debut on the sci-fi channel later this month. NOt only are these two posters similar, the posts are similar in that both are horror movie director legends who now suck.
