First screen shot from the Pulse remake
Bloody Disgusting posted this picture and comment today. I agree that this is not looking good. "Inside we've found a new pic from Dimension Films' Pulse remake, which stars Kristen Bell, Steve Talley, Ian Somerhalder, Christina Milian, Corryn Cummins, Joseph Gatt, Rick Gonzalez, Samm Levine, Riki Lindhome, Christina Milian, Amanda Tepe and Jonathan Tucker. In the pic from the film that hits theaters March 3rd, we get to see one of the demon ghosts from the film, and I'm not impressed. After one of their friends commits suicide, strange things begin happening to a group of young Tokyo residents. One of them sees visions of his dead friend in the shadows on the wall, while another's computer keeps showing strange, ghostly images. Is their friend trying to contact them from beyond the grave, or is there something much more sinister going on?"

I'm a little more enthused by the pic than they were. True, the ghostie is much more concretely weird than the apparitions of the original, but the "other side of the wall" thing kind of works. Plus, I like Kristen Bell from what little I watched of Veronica Mars.
This could just be that misguided optimism that sometimes pops up in my head shortly before release dates.
