The Howl That Lasted for Years

This picture was an instant hit in our household and it became a running joke for many years. The Chinese man's scream is so intense and passionate that JPX and I would imitate what we thought it would sound like (mainly a high-pitched, pained shriek). We would often hide the magazine cover in cupboards, bed sheets, jackets etc. to surprise each other. After that it hung proudly in my friend's basement for several years and then it disappeared altogether. I don't know how, where, when or why I stumbled into it again but it's still totally awesome.

Yikes! I'd howl too if my face was made of silly putty.

I do love the game of hiding a certain thing among someone's possessions.

I did it with a koosh ball and an old roommate; she asked me if I wanted it, I said no, later I found it inside a boot. I'd hide it in her room and so on. It probably moved back and forth about ten times and we never said a word to each other about it.

That was definitely the best part of an otherwise awful roommmate experience.

The best one of those Octo would have to be the baby head in Donna's cupboard.

Oh, yeah. Our sister isn't hard to scare, but that green resin baby head really freaked her.

Sorry, the baby head is plastic!

Sickos.
