Cloverfield to be an all-shaky cam movie?

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS, Five young New Yorkers throw their friend a going-away party the night that a monster the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city. Told from the point of view of their video camera, the film is a document of their attempt to survive the most surreal, horrifying event of their lives.

I don't care, it looks fantastic!

Seriously. I have high hopes for this movie, but I'm one of those people who feels like they're inside the camera when it's whipping all over the place. It's a physical thing. I really hope they don't Blair Witch it; I'd like to enjoy this.

As I've pointed out before, just watch the two online Cloverfield trailers. They are not shaky. They are just filled with lots of very fast cuts. (Okay, they're a little shaky.) I think it's going to be like accents in movies (where after a few lines for us to "get the idea" they just start speaking in English).

Dude, you know I agree with you that trailer #2, at least, has a lot of cuts. But they are more than a little shaky.

I hope you're right about how the experience is; it may turn out to be awesome, scary etc. except I can't enjoy it. I'm definitely going to find out, though.
