Damn fine! Check out the Twin Peak cameos in this Psych homage

From ew, Some of the folks at USA’s Psych are big fans of the offbeat, early ‘90s drama, Twin Peaks — such big fans that, after their well-received “Dual Spires” homage in December, they might pay homage to David Lynch’s surreal soap a second time.

“Hopefully, we’ll get a chance to do some kind of revisiting of the episode. I know James [Roday] is thinking about it,” Dulé Hill told EW last Saturday at EW’s pre-SAG party. “I know he and Steve [Franks, creator and executive producer] had talked about it. Hopefully we can make it happen.”

The December episode followed Shawn and Gus as they solve a teenage girl’s murder in an isolated village after its annual cinnamon festival goes awry. Seven of the original Twin Peaks cast members had guest roles in the episode, which was replete with Peaks references: Owls, “damn fine” diner food, anagrammed character names, and a host of more subtle nods for fans of the original series.

Hill said that the Peaks cast left a few of his Psych colleagues, including co-stars James Roday and Tim Omundson, pretty star-struck: “They were like little geeks, really. They went gaga over them. James was like, ‘Oh my God.’”

And how did Hill find working with the Peaks alumni? “They were great people. I loved every last one of them.”

What do I win?

That was really cool. Even though I really didn't watch Twin Peaks enough to get all the references. Sorry. *hangs head*

For shame, DCD, for shame!

That was the first time I've seen a lot of those actors since the TV show. I couldn't tell if that was Mike or Bobby barking at the dog (hilarious by the way). And was that Shelly the waitress? And would have killed them to get the log lady?

I similarly couldn't tell whether it was Mike or Bobby. It made me miss Twin Peaks. I think it's time to revisit that old chestnut.
