First rule of Horrorthon is: watch horror movies. Second rule of Horrorthon is: write about it. Warn us. Tempt us. The one who watches the most movies in 31 days wins. There is no prize.
Hmm. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but not completely discouraging.
The "find your destiny, save the planet" tone is a bit off, but then again they couldn't really champion the kind of bloodthirst that drove the books.
For example, in Princess of Mars when the evil head of a city-state takes JC's beloved and marries her, his response is to assemble an army of nomads in numbers hitherto unheard of and sack the whole fucking city.
