I actually remember when they introduced that logo (canted at an angle, four stars) in 1976. I was really excited.
The subsequent one (that's on the front of all the new movies) is cool, too...it's a valid modernization of the 1976 logo. But the new one is total crap.
Here's a history of all of them (except the new one).
I saw this yesterday and was bowled over by its suckage.
