Bill Watterson and reality

Newest post on my blog (on my new website), this time about Bill Watterson and The Complete Calvin and Hobbes, which I just finished reading.

Yay! Loved it. Commented.

I've been meaning to peruse your blog properly but I've literally been swamped. As in a tidal wave of brackish water has heaved itself upon me and is currently rising past my shins.

(My pet peeve of late has been how "literally" is the word to most recently be dragged through the muck of stupidity. For example I heard a (caucasian) woman say of her ability to suntan "I literally turn black.")

Excellent post Jordan! I haven't revisited it in years but now I'm inspired to pick up the Complete Calvin & Hobbes (or steal it from my brother).

It's always nice to hear about an artist (in any medium) who knows when to call it quits before compromising the dignity of the art. It's a shame there aren't any comic strips even close to the level of humor (let alone intelligence) of C&H.
