AVP sequel gets dumb title

From cinemablend, It looks like AvP2 will not be called AvP2, nor will it be called Aliens vs. Predator as was rumored last month. According to Entertainment Weekly, Fox is calling the impending sequel Aliens vs. Predator Requiem, because I guess they want us to connect it with a Jennifer Connelly movie which it can’t possibly live up to. Smart move there Fox.

To prove they’re committed to the title, Fox has registered the domain name aliensvspredatorrequiem.com, even though Aliens vs. Predator Requiem is a horrible title. It’s like they’re tacking on the word “requiem” just because. I’m pretty sure most of the people who plan on showing up for this thing don’t even know what Requiem means. It’s just there. I think I’ll throw it on to my name while we’re at it. From now on I’m Josh Tyler Requiem. My life is being directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. At least it feels like it some days.

For those of you who can’t pronounce the word “requieum”, don’t worry. Fox has you covered. The film also has an official abbreviation. According to AVP Galaxy you can also feel free to call the film AvP-R.

Yup, that's pretty 'orrible. They should've just called it Aliens Vs. Predator, Again and captured everybody's feelings about it. (Actually, to do that right, they'd have to call it Aliens Vs. Predator, Again (*Sigh*).)

No comment on the AVP subject. Just constantly refreshing the page, waitin' for Jordan's Star Wars response. I picture him looking unshowered and disheveled yelling "Fuck! His argument is airtight!"

That's funny, that's what I expect you're going to say when you read mine.
