From AICN, David Duchovny was plugging his new sitcom, “Californication,” at Showtime’s Television Critics Association event here in Los Angeles, and offered a few hints on the status of a second “X-Files” movie:* Duchovny says he’s supposed to get the script next week.
* Duchovny says the script is by Chris Carter (who created the series and wrote the last movie) and veteran series writer-producer Frank Spotnitz.
* Duchovny says Carter intends to make his big-screen directorial debut with the project.
* Duchovny says Gillian Anderson is aboard.
* Duchovny says the plan is for a 2008 release.

Yeah! My roommate's been watching the first season of the show lately. They were still pretty clumsy.
I'd be up for another X-Files movie.
