Justice League In Trouble...Again

From moviesonline, As we reported earlier the Justice League of America Movie had been pushed back until 2010. Then Warner Bros. had decided to put this one on the fast track and were eyeing a 2009 tentpole release. Now we may have to wait again.

Apparently Austrailia does not feel that the film is Aussie enough for them to qualify for the provisional certificate which would give the production a 40% refund on qualifying below-the-line costs. Director George Miller is now threatening to take the film to either Canada or New Zealand if they do not hurry up and approve the offer.

Variety reports that in radio and newspaper interviews Wednesday, Miller said: "We don't know officially that we've been knocked back, but it's not looking good. It's taken too long to make a decision, and the film's going overseas now, which is incredibly wasteful for the Australian film industry."

The film was originally on hold because Warner did not want to push ahead without the writers being able to go back over the script and give it another polish. So now that the strike is over, scribes Kieran and Michele Mulroney had the opportunity to touch it up. The finished script was delivered back to the studio not long ago, and the cast has been advised to keep training for their superhero roles.

Within all this madness the film has also undergone a title change from Justice League to Justice League Mortal. The cast consists of Hugh Keays-Byrne (Martian Manhunter), Megan Gale (Wonder Woman), Armie Hammer (Batman), Adam Brody (The Flash), Teresa Palmer (Talia al Ghul), Common (The Green Lantern) and Zoe Kazan (Iris Allen).
