A few observations:
-- The only thing that tells you this all isn't happening in the 60's is the use of the word "pix." Sure, the line about banks in trouble, but that's probably boosted word-for-word from a strip printed during an earlier recession.
-- If you do a blog search for "Daily Spider-Man," you can see the whole run so far uncluttered by our non Spider-Man content. I recommend it, it's fun.
Doing that, I notice that the whole Spidey/Wolvie/Doc Oc fight lasted 11 days, from that cop being thrown on the 14th to Spidey and Wolverine's high-impact kiss on the 25th. Meanwhile, the post-fight conversation between Spider-Man and Wolverine only runs for five days, from "Don't mention it, bub" on the 28th to the latest twist in the riveting "will Wolverine go to the play?" subplot on July 2nd.
Did anyone notice how the latter event seemed to take MUCH, MUCH LONGER??? Damn!
When JPX started this, he said "I thought it might be fun to run an entire comic strip story to illustrate the glacial pace of it all." I don't think I understood then what that really meant. Excuse me while I go put my head in a vise.
Nice breakdown Octopunk. I see that absolutely nothing substantial has happened in the past week aside from Wolvie's decision to take in a Broadway musical. I only hope the next 7 weeks don't feature Mary Jane's performance.
