Miley Cyrus is Batgirl in "The Dark Knight" Sequel?
From worstpreviews, According to The Globe's Loosch Lips column, Miley Cyrus auditioned for the role of Batgirl in "The Dark Knight" sequel, which Gary Oldman recently revealed will start shooting next year.
The Globe said that Miley "stunned" producers at Warner Bros when she appeared to try out for the part. An insider said that she showed up in a full batsuit to better her chances.
"She was sort of hopping around the room and had even written some dialogue for herself," the insider revealed. "The problem is, some people aren't really convinced Miley has the acting chops to pull it of."
Obviously this sounds like a wild rumor.
[JPX] I only want Batgirl in the next film if she looks like this,

I just wish this chick would go away.
You know, I actually don't mind this.
I really liked Bolt, and she did an excellent job as the voice of the girl lead in that.
Since I never watch television, I've been spared the whole overexposure ordeal with Cyrus. I understand that she's annoying etc. as a synthetic Disney personality, but this might be really different.
Anyway, weird casting is sometimes great. John Ritter in Sling Blade; Tarantino putting Brad Pitt and Mike Meyers in the same movie, etc. etc.
gary oldman as gordon
but i do think the four people just mentioned are top caliber actors and there's no evidence, other than bolt, that miley cyrus is going to be anywhere near as serendipitous a casting choice.
although, to concede jordan's point, that's why they call it serendipity.
How about the possibility of BatGirl in general?
I kind of see this trilogy of Batman films as too dark and realistic to throw another tortured soul into the mix. Another protagonist would require another backstory. It took 90 minutes of Batman Begins to get through Batman's backstory. I'm not sure we have time for a Batgirl.
Unless they somehow make it Rachel Dawes - but that would require too much suspension of disbelief.
I hope there's no Batgirl or Robin in the next film.
I'm the only person in the world who liked Frank Miller's handling of the Robin origin in "All Star Batman and Robin." I'd like it if they did it that way.
And cast Shia LeBoueff!
Just kidding. (Even though you know it's going to happen...)
I havent read All Star Batman yet, but I have the issues. I need to check it out.
