New Stephen King Novel Announced!

From stephenking, 'Recently Stephen King announced that a new Richard Bachman book had been discovered: Blaze, a novel King wrote in the 1970s! We've just received word that Blaze is scheduled for publication by Scribner this June and we WILL be getting some copies! This is bound to be a major publishing event so read on for details!

Blaze: A Posthumous Novela new novel by Richard Bachman
Featuring a foreword by Stephen King
Retail Price: Just $23.00!

Here is a description from Kevin Quigley's Charnel House website: "Blaze is the story of a giant, mentally challenged man who decides to kidnap a baby and hold it for a $1 million ransom. The novel flips back and forth between the current story of Blaze's kidnapping and flight from the law to stories of his abusive past. There's another character named George, who is Blaze's best friend; it's George who actually convinces Blaze to kidnap the baby. The only problem is, George may or may not be dead, and thus be a psychological manifestation ... or perhaps a ghost."'

Wait! Mentally challenged giant man, friend named George...this sounds like another book I read. Oh yeah, Charlotte's Web.

So, did King ever decide exactly how Bachman died? Was it a tornado-propelled ear of corn that slammed into his head? You know, like in that cut Ray Bolger footage from the Wizard of Oz.
