I"ve been told that there was a time when Jim Carrey was funny

From worstpreviews, Empire Online has learned from Bob Hoskins (Who Framed Roger Rabbit) that director Robert Zemeckis is working on another motion capture animation film similar to "Polar Express" and the upcoming "Beowulf." Hoskins added that Jim Carrey is attached to the project.

"He's going to make A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey," said Hoskins. "He wants me to play Mr Fezziwig. He's doing in that way he did 'Polar Express.' You stand in a box with that funny suit on and it reads everything you do...Am I going to do it? Of course I am!"

There are no details on when the movie might shoot or which studio might fund it yet, though Zemeckis's previous two films using this technique have been under the Warner Bros banner.

I think he started to go downhill when he changed his hair to the current weird style.

I do think that he was a comic genius back in the In Living Color days. He definitely lost it but come on - do you remember Vera? Also he did the funniest Captain Kirk imitation I've ever heard and I know a lot of nerds. And his Chuck Woolery was also priceless.

I definitely support early Carrey. Just not sure where he lost that edge.
