Did you catch that new, sweet Iron Man trailer?

Wow, I've never been very interested in Iron Man but this trailer rocks!

Yes yes YES. Between this and seeing my first big-screen Iron Man trailer in front of Cloverfield I am officially completely psyched. Of course this means I may be setting myself up to be officially disappointed, but whatever. You have to drop the cynicism sometimes.

For the blurchteenth time I will say: Ultimate Marvel Universe! If you want to see Iron Man, Captain America and other characters you never gave a rat's ass about handled with coolness and care, check it out.

Just look at the Ultimates graphic novels next time you're in the bookstore.

Yeah the Ultimates is terrific!

Iron Man is Marvels' Batman, without the angst. Rich, cynical, self-made.

"blurchteenth"?

Alright I'm sold on Ultimate Marvel Universe. I finally found a great funny book shop near me but I've been out of it for so long that I feel uncomfortable browsing there and I usually walk out with an old school X-Men graphic novel..

It doesn't help that everyone who works there is all geek-chic or whatever the hell it's called.

Did anyone see that Simpsons when the "cool" comic shop opened across from the old one? It's a very interesting phenomenon. Back in the day, comic store guys really were the fat, sarcastic type that couldn't be bothered with your business. I credit the Simpsons for redifining the comic book shop as we know it and for making it cool to be a geek.

I suppose Kevin Smith should get some credit there too...
