God Delusion for Kids

If this ever gets translated to English, I think I'm going to need a copy.  This is about some baby animals who hear about God, go on a search for him, and ultimately conclude he probably doesn't exist.  Wacky Germans.  More here.

Just to clarify, I don't think I'd actually read this to my kid, because it seems a bit extreme and offensive. But I really want to own a copy.

Yeah, it seems weird that he'd choose to have all the religious folks be lunatics. Kind of undermines the point of the book, no?

Still, I want one too.

Looks great to me! While I wouldn't likely read it to a child either, the content is much less extreme and offensive than that of the Bible or Koran.

Good point, JSP.

Yes! If you read the whole article you'll learn that two German groups are concerning themselves with the "danger" this book presents to children, while of course the Bible et al is above reproach. Frustrating.

Though I do agree the tone of the book seems pretty screechy. It's the constant atheist's dilemma: it's hard to maintain one's measured, rational approach to the subject when the other camp feels completely justified to scream at the top of their lungs.

I know, it's infuriating. I honestly think that many look forward to being offended so they can whip out the "poor me!" card.
