First rule of Horrorthon is: watch horror movies. Second rule of Horrorthon is: write about it. Warn us. Tempt us. The one who watches the most movies in 31 days wins. There is no prize.

The Dead Quiz
This is what I am reduced to on slow days at the hotel...
I can't take the quiz till I get home but I hear you Miko on the Saw movies. They really made me long for the good old Steven Segal days where justice was meted out quickly and solid-ass-kickingly.
Now it's all "torture" this and "slow agonizing unfair death" that.
Well if you work in a Hilton DCD, I'll see you someday. (I spend about 12 nights a month in em).
JSP, I can't take the toture stuff. In my days in law enforcement we used to have discussions about how it took a unique wacko to toture. Anybody can kill, but to listen to screams, etc., that's a special kind of sickness.
If anyone cares, I totally aced the quiz. There were a couple times where I hadn't seen the movie in question but I had seen the other two choices, so shwing!
Saw IV begins with Jigsaw's (very disgusting) autopsy. When they empty the contents of his stomach (did I mention it was gross?), they find a cassette tape. Playing the tape reveals a new "game". There are a lot of flashbacks about Jigsaw's life and why he ultimately turned to a life of sadism. The Saw films are definitely not for everyone, but they are pretty darn clever and there are a lot of twists along the way.
JPX - your avatar is too funny. There's something about Archie Andrews describing the Saw franchise as "pretty darn clever" that's just so very wrong.
As for the quiz, I got a couple wrong that I should have gotten right and lost a couple of limbs. So I started over and cheated my way to perfection. And the best part is - I didn't cheat anyone but myself!

i'm sorry dcd, i had to bail out of the quiz because it was spoiling classic horror films i haven't seen (yet).
ooo, hadn't thought of that one. Sorry about that!
Nice Quiz DCD! I'm bored staying in hotels most weeks.....
Just missed the "SAW III" question, because the Saw movies annoy the piss out me. Just kill the SOB already!
At least you are staying in them Miko - I work in a hotel...
I missed a few actually, which didn't really surprise me.

Sigh, I loved skinny Segal.
no worries dcd, i take full responsibility. caveat quiz-taker.
Miko, he was killed in Saw III!
JPX, doesn't he keep popping up in the other films? On video and such?
"I am speaking without true knowledge....I stopped watching after II."
"Now it's all "torture" this and "slow agonizing unfair death" that."
LOL!!
I can't take the torture stuff. Have absolutely no interst in it.
No Hilton Miko - just a crazy little hotel in Newport where we do about 200 weddings a year....
200 weddings a year?! So your hotel is built on the Gates of Hell?
(Just kidding ladies, I love being married...I'd hate to make a decision for myself)

I aced it as well, Horrorthon!

Bombed it even with a couple lucky guesses.
Count me with those in the no-torture-porn category.
Though the original Funny Games was kind of interesting.
