Sulu gets married!

From BBC News, US actor George Takei is to wed his long-term partner after California lifted its ban on same-sex marriage.
Takei, 71, best known for playing Mr Sulu in Star Trek, said he and Brad Altman were going through the "delicious dilemma" of where to marry. The actor and 54-year-old Mr Altman have been together for 21 years. "We can have the dignity, as well as all the responsibilities, of marriage. We embrace it all heartily," Takei wrote on his website.

He broke this news on the Howard Stern Show, where he is frequently a guest. That's great!

I hope Scotty's urn falls back to earth just as they kiss during the ceremony...and lights a falling star for their future, beautiful.

Yes, Julie, I just realized I put the apostrophe in the wrong place. Man, it's tough having a teacher on the same blog...

I'm just glad the old bastard lived long enough to see the laws change. (He looks terribly old in that picture, even for a Japanese guy.)

You just know that there's at least one old gay guy who waited his whole life to be wed only to die the very day before the laws changed. Sad, really.
