Ron Silver dies at 62

From ew, Actor Ron Silver died this morning after a two-year battle with esophageal cancer, the New York Post reports. Silver, 62, had a long, distinguished career on stage, screen and television. He's probably best known for his recurring role as Bruno Gianelli on The West Wing and for his portrayal of famed lawyer Alan Dershowitz in the 1990 film Reversal of Fortune, starring Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons. Silver won the Tony Award for Best Actor in 1988 for David Mamet's Speed the Plow. His family is making arrangements for a private service.

Of course you have, he's been in a ton of movies including, well, I got nothing. Seriously though, he's been in 100 movies but usually he plays a secondary character. I always liked him.

Not in Blue Steel, he wasn't. Not his fault, though.

God bless Ron Silver, he was a 'Liberal' who came to his senses about Jihadis and brutal Dictators. He knew they would destroy America, and Hollywood if they could. He realized that if America goes down the tubes, then the whole planet is doomed.

You were great Ron! Time Cop, Arrival, Wiseguy, and The West Wing among many were particularly good. Thank you for everything, especially your courage, RIP.

here's an absurd thought -
our God of the Universe
hates ALL Liberals

who admit their errors
and move Right on defense

.
absurd thought -
God of the Universe hates
the principles of FREEDOM

fascism comes from the Right
that is a lie of the Left

absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
YOU'RE RIGHT WING

because you hate dictators
and don't blame America

All real freedom starts with freedom of speech. Without freedom of speech there can be no real freedom.
