Point of Fear

(2006)

A psychiatrist goes crazy and starts killing his patients. Two young couples on a road trip encounter Dr. Michael Jamison on the way to a vacation house. One of the foursome, Melissa has an intense fear of heights. Since the couples have decided to go mountain climbing this is bad. She goes to see the doctor for help with her phobia but when he sees that she looks identical to his dead wife something in him snaps. He kidnaps Melissa and keeps her tied up in a cabin in the woods and begins killing his patients by the very means that they fear most.

This story has so many holes in it that it almost whistles. If you had an intense fear of heights why would you agree to go on a mountain climbing trip. Furthermore, why would your friends who love you so much even suggest it? To make matters worse, at the first place they stop she almost falls off a cliff. They encounter the doctor at a convenience store and just by chance decide he might be able to help her. Who goes on vacation and decides to go to therapy at that time? The plot is just ridiculous. Add to that, each time the doctor goes psycho death metal music starts blaring and the screen flashes. So friggin' annoying that it leaves me at a loss for words. My advice, put it back on the shelf and just walk away.

Finding a dr at the convenience store - are they over by the energy drinks or the slurpee machine?

Probably by the mouthwash and condoms.

This sounds bone-headedly awful. Thanks for the warning.
