The new Rambo sequel has just cast its nemesis

From moviesonline, "The new Rambo sequel has just cast its nemesis. Oddly enough they opted not to cast an actor. Instead they cast a former Burmese guerilla named Sai Mwang to play a Burmese officer out to prevent John Rambo from rescueing the aid workers in Burma he is out to save. I gotta confess I would think their are PLENTY of talented burmese actors that we dont need to be casting ex-guerilla's to play the part. Makes no sense to me.

We had a chance to sit down with Sylvester Stallone and talk to him about his new film Rocky, but he also had some great updates and insights on his upcoming Rambo film. He is doing this new film because he doesnt think the story is quite done, quote:

Rambo is a character that I think was not fully expressed in the last one, even though Afghanistan was the downfall. It was Russia’s Vietnam. About 10 days before the movie comes out Gorbechev comes over and basically kisses Nancy Reagan on the cheek and then the 50-year Cold War is over and now I’m the bad guy! It’s true. People asked why I was a red baiter. And I said two weeks ago we were dropping bombs on these guys, but now? It’s true. Anytime you do a film that deals with a political subject you never know, even though I’m doing it again. But it’s extremely volatile.

It would just be Rambo because I think it’s a character that I think is completely out of sync with the way things are. He’s so primitive and his spirit is so broken that he lives his monastic life out in the jungle and I think it’s an interesting character study. I haven’t seen anything like it lately."

Eh. The quote "Rambo is a character who has not fully expressed" or whatever he says makes me tired. Shoot an exploding arrow already.
