Since we posted the news of the role, we've gotten many emails wanting to know what Bridges looked like! Check it out below...he's ready to kick some iron ass!
Obadiah Stane is the financier who, unknowingly to Stark, attacks James Rhodes and takes over Stark International. Stane's henchmen are known as the Chessmen due to his fascination with the game of chess since childhood. He renames it to Stane International. Tony relapses into alcoholism and walks away from his Iron Man role.
Subsequently, Rhodes dons the costume and continues the Iron Man legend.
Stane uses the notes and information for the Iron Man armor left behind by Stark to contruct his own brand of armor and goes by the name Iron Monger, but it's weakness? It's powered by an outside computer system.
Soon, Stark recovers and is back in action in his newly created armor the Silver Centurion model. He comes back to fight for his company and his pride against Obadiah Stane, who calls himself Iron Monger while in his suit of armor."

Man, this just confirms what I've always suspected (having never read an issue in my life), Iron Man is lame. This villain looks as limp as the Iron Man he's holding on the cover.
I've heard it said by those familiar with Iron Man that, while useful and heroic and all, he was sort of the Avengers' punching bag.
Again I mention the superior Ultimate Marvel universe, which not only makes Tony Stark an interesting character, but also features this comment from Nick Fury: "One day Stark's going to pull his weak sister act at the wrong time and he's dead."
I've never had much use for Iron Man myself. Get a super power or get out of my face - is what I always say.
