Are you up for the challenge?

As you can see I've been spending my free time very wisely lately. My plan is to tape these in public bathroom stalls wherever I go.

Anyway I thought you might enjoy these fun activities on Friday before Labor Day. Good luck. The puzzles are harder than you might think...

Because I haven't added color yet I'll give you the "brown letters" to solve the jumble: K, R, A, S, F, C, T, A.

repulsive, yet hilarious!

You seem to be running with a theme today JSP...

Johnny Sweatpants said...

Why thank you.

It started when Handsome Stan and I had a friendly competition to see who can draw the expression of someone being offended by an odor. I won the competition by default as he never submitted any sketches. (He has trouble following through with things but you didn't hear that from me.)

Anyway I can't help but notice that no one has yet solved the jumble or the word search...

In Handsome Stan's defense, he did come up with the delightfully clever "Gas Station" name.

is a fart sack standard issue? anyone?

Johnny Sweatpants said...

Bingo! Excellent work.

Good lord, will this day never end? I've got east coast visitors and we're going to see the Red Sox dehumanize the Oakland A's tonight! Whooh hoo! Tickets were I kid you not $10 each. You can't even get into a Paw Sox game for $10.

AC said...

thanks johnny.

wow, i've never heard of baseball tickets so cheap. howdja do it?

(AC, excuse me for this next post, I know you referred to the blog as "classy").

JSP, FUCK YOU!! YOU RAT BASTARD!!
I can take hearing about how nice The Bay Area is, how nice the weather is when it sucks here in the East, etc., etc., but $10 tickets to a Sox game is just too goddamn much!!
Tickets for the Phillies/BSox series here are running $110 for a pair of bleacher seats.

miko, i was being ironic, i swear. didn't i make a dick joke the very same comment?

It is a peculiar phenomenon. Nobody gives 2 damns about the A's around here. Even the A's fans seem to hate both the A's and themselves for being fans. I don't get it. Oakland consistently makes the playoffs and they have a damn fine stadium.

Giants games on the other hand are more on par with Fenway price-wise. It's worth the price though for bay view seats. (Coincidentally we're seeing Giants vs. Phillies in September!)

Incidentally I've only been able to find 17 of 20 in the word search and I made the damn thing!

hey johnny, 2 questions:

are there diagonals or only horizontals and verticals? i don't want to ruin my eyes for nothin'.

if there is a phrase that incorporates other words, does one get credit for all the words? for instance, "fartsack" also contains "fart" and "farts"; is that one word or three?

thanks and enjoy the game!

Johnny Sweatpants said...

Yes there are diagonals and no, credit is only given for "fart" or "fart sack" but not both.

That's a sentence I won't likely ever compose again.

i have found the following 20 words, though i have no assurance they are the words jsp intended:

gaseous
skidmark
stench
toilet
toots
inexcusable
unpleasant
blah
disgraceful
fartsack (inc. fart and farts)
squeaky
stool
stinky
steamy
wellinever
cheeks
stain
movement
odor
smelly

believe me, i'm not proud, but i had to prove to miko that i'm really not a proponent of class on this blog. wellinever.

Well I never!...expected anyone to complete the word search.

Nice work AC. I just know that someday we're headed for a serious Scrabble showdown and it ain't gonna be pretty.

Johnny Sweatpants said...

Actually you got one wrong - blah. The last word is "foul" (also from the jumble).

thanks for the correction. i think i need to send the whole "gas station" page to my brother. hopefully he's not too mature to enjoy it.

scrabblethon!

i do love scrabble but it does tend to bring out my evil competitive side. when i was little i hated to lose games so much i would routinely cheat, which was odd since i was scrupulous in many other ways. that being said, i am pretty sure i can be a good sport about it now.
