'Sit Down, Shut Up' has an arresting 'Development' feel

From usatoday, Fox crushed fans of Arrested Development by canceling the Emmy-winning cult comedy. But its stars and producer are reuniting on a new series for the network. You just won't see them.
Sit Down, Shut Up is based on a live-action Australian series, but "I didn't want to rewrite it that much because it's a little daft, a little disconnected," says producer Mitch Hurwitz. "I said, 'Why don't we do it as an animated show at Fox?' "

The network bit, though it marks a departure from the family feel of Sunday's toon lineup. Instead, Sit Down (due April 19 at 8:30 ET/PT) centers on a group of unhappy small-town teachers played by Arrested's Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Henry Winkler along with Kristin Chenoweth, Kenan Thompson, Will Forte and Cheri Oteri.

Children's book author Mo Willems designed the characters and the show's unique live-action backdrop. Was the reunion a fun warm-up for a hoped-for Arrested film? Sure, but "it all starts with ribbing Bateman," says Arnett, who plays a "pseudo-jock" English teacher named Ennis Hofftard.

The Simpsons' Mrs. Krabapple would be proud. Or appalled

Well as such a die hard fan of Arrested Development I actually look for any of those actors in other movies and series I will have to check this out.
