The Simpsons change opening sequence that has existed since 1989!

From worstpreviews, Fox has announced that the first High-Definition episode of "The Simpsons" will air on this Sunday (February 15th) at 8pm ET. The new episode, entitled "Take My Life, Please," will feature a plot that has Homer wondering what would have happened if he had been elected class president in high school.

In addition, "The Simpsons" will also debut a brand new opening sequence, which has been untouched since the show's premiere in 1989. But you don't have wait till Sunday to see the sequence, you can check it out now by watching the video below.

While most live-action scripted shows are already in HD, animation has been much slower to make the leap. "The Simpsons" are now onboard and so is "South Park," which recently announced that it will make the conversion on March 11th, starting with the first episode of its 13th season.
