New Pirates of the Caribbean Featurette: From Disneyland To The Big Screen
From cinemablend, Even after the release of three movies and an soon-to-be-released fourth, it's strange to think that the entire Pirates of the Caribbean franchise was adapted from a ride at Disney's theme parks. The ride itself doesn't actually have any plot or story to it at all, but the movies are some of the biggest hits that the movie world has ever witnessed. Now a featurette detailing the path from amusement park attraction to blockbuster film has been released.
Sent out by Disney, the video mixes both vintage video from when the ride first opened, footage from the first three films as well as more from this summer's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, behind the scenes footage, and a short bit with Geoffrey Rush as the villainous Captain Barbossa.
