So what's the word, has anyone seen it yet?
i was gonna see it today but i am actually slightly hungover from happy hour last night (i had a third of a mai tai, serves me right). will wait till i can enjoy the big screen/bucket o'popcorn experience thoroughly.
Since when do you drink, AC?! I am shocked and appalled.
I type this while sipping a glass of wine.
that's the problem; if i drank more copiously and/or regularly, i could handle alcohol better (or at all, even).
Octo and I saw it yesterday afternoon, beating the rush. It was pretty great. Plot wise, the basic conceit that this guy decides to make up for his life of weapons manufacturing by building a super weapon suit--well, that makes no sense to me. Why not get involved in building super light collapsible tents for refugees or something? And if you were a physicist, I think all the times Downey gets slammed against things in the suit and walks away would seem mathematically impossible.
But eh, I don't care about logic. It was great. Downey is funny as hell. I don't know the comics but I thought he was great in that role.
I ended up losing my shit on some poor kid behind me who accidentally put his whole hand on the top of my head while trying to get up out of his seat. I think I need a weapon suit, designed for a pregnant lady, because I'm about to take out some mother-effers who get on my nerves. One more month.
Oh...and I always bump a little on movies in which a fight gets ended with something like, "Uh....flip these things and this other thing will blow up!" And there's no real explanation of why, technologically speaking. I guess the writer in me gets a little perturbed by that. It's like well, we just need something to blow now, and uh, this'll do the trick.
But whatever. That stuff would only detract if the characters hadn't been so winning.
Cool! did you stay to the end of the credits and see the superhero cameo?
I'd flip out too if someone touched my head!
We're going to see it today. Grandmas who babysit for free are awesome.
