I love the bottom poster. I want one of those little dudes.
I'm not going to get suckered into being disappointed in yet another Tim Burton movie!
I think this is great.
Alice in Wonderland is one of those stories for which I heartily welcome multiple interpretations. In terms of books, there's the original Tenniel illustrations, the Ralph Steadman illustrations, the edition illustrated by Anthony Browne (who is probably only known to those of us (me) who once worked for children's books, but think Rene Magritte), and oodles more. I once came across a version that contained a mishmash of illustrations collected from 120 years of different editions. I so wish I'd bought it, but I didn't.
In terms of movies and similar media, there's a dozen live action versions, the Disney version (which I love), the Dragon's Lair 2 level, and further whackiness like the stop motion/live action movie by Czechoslovakia's Jan Svenkmajer. And that Tom Petty video.
In other words, bring it on. This stuff looks fun.
