What is 7 Souls?

We've just finished our new web campaign for 7 Souls, which you can see here. We've found a spoiler-free way to extend the actual book's story into a different presentational medium. I'd be very interested to hear any horrorthon comments/critiques as we begin implementing and attempting to publicize the campaign and the book, were any of you so inclinded to provide them.

Finished reading it two days ago. impressive depth to the prose, especially considering who your target demographic is. Good read, overall. Kudos, dude.

Thanks! Kind words indeed.

When I was a teenager, I liked it when I was treated like I had a brain. It's fun to return the favor.

This is cool!

It's ridiculous that I'm still in Chapter 2, but I'm digging it. The sense of unease is very well-crafted.

I'm 100 pages into it and totally hooked on the story! I'm really digging the sense of dread that's being established thus far.

[BTW - I posted haiku results below as it would be grossly inappropriate to bury this post with flatulence.]

I'm about halfway through myself and totally agree with 50P. I think it's edgy and any teen with a brain would be completely immersed in the story. Congratulations to you both on writing such a fine story.

I haven't responded because I've gotten (literally) choked up a bit. Thank you all. I can't tell you how rewarding it feels to read comments like these, coming from this crowd. I mean, look at the logic: a website built around the idea of reviewing horror stories! Over time, I'm going to see through everyone's poker faces. Anyway thanks. It's insanely gratifying. You have no idea.

Woo hoo! I'm halfway through it. I'd read a treatment of this more than a year ago and you changed a lot. Very cool.

And I felt a little Horrorthon influence in there somewhere...maybe the part about watching horror movies.

Okay, maybe not. I guess it could've been Scream. But we're cooler.

Octo, there's an "Octopunk discussing Zack Snyder on Horrorthon" moment coming up in the book.
