'Jurassic Park 4' Called Off Because of Crichton's Death/Ghost
From iwatchstuff, If he had to go, at least let there be some good to come from his passing. And there has been, as producer Kathleen Kennedy has just revealed that plans for Jurassic Park 4 have been put on hold since the death of Michael Crichton:
When asked if there was any development on the long-anticipated sequel, Kennedy responded, "No... I don't know. You know, when Crichton passed away, I sorta felt maybe that's it. Maybe that's a sign that we don't mess with it."
That's probably for the best. Probably good to cancel any project when instead of feeling that it honors the author with one more film based on his stories and characters, you instead feel it carries too high a risk of a haunted curse. Never a good sign when the mentality is, "Nah, let's cancel that project. That project has too high a risk of resulting in my indefinite haunting. Let's just do another Grisham or something--anything that doesn't carry with it a great chance of my incurring the terrible wrath of the spirit world."

They're faking it. The project will probably resurface in a year or so.
I call bs! How many movies have gone on after someone died, esp. a writer? This seems a little odd I guess unless someone with decision making power was very close to Michael, which I'm not sure why they wouldn't think the usual "Michael would want us to go on" crap anyway.
