Fantastic Four to get another reboot.
From worstpreviews, Disney might have acquired Marvel Entertainment, but it will honor the contracts Marvel has with third-party studios. That works out great for 20th Century Fox, because the studio has now announced that it is moving forward with a reboot of "Fantastic Four."
Michael Green, the executive producer of TV's "Heroes" and writer of "Green Lantern," will pen the script for the new "Fantastic Four." Fox did not disclose any other details.
Last we heard, Fox is looking to start the franchise from scratch and will not bring back any of the stars of the first two, poorly-reviewed films. The studio is planning to go in a "less bubble gum" direction, but not be as dark as "The Dark Knight." More like "Iron Man," as far as action, humor and tone.
Back in April, Vin Diesel revealed that he would love to play a villain like Doctor Doom in the "Fantastic Four" reboot.

What is that picture from? Better not be from the reboot or it's already doomed. They look like the Partridge Family..
It's from the unreleased Fantastic Four film that was made back in 1994. From Wikipedia,
The Fantastic Four is an unreleased low-budget feature film completed in 1994. Created to secure copyright to the property, the producers never intended it for release although the director, actors, and other participants were not informed of this fact. It was produced by low-budget specialist Roger Corman and Bernd Eichinger (who also produced another Fantastic Four movie in 2005). The film was based on the long-running comic book by Marvel Comics and featured the origin of the Fantastic Four and their first battle with the evil Doctor Doom and a mysterious Mole Man-like creature.
roger corman?! dude, we have to figure out a way to see this.
i'm rather surprised nobody had anything to say about the buyout. thoughts, anyone?
I used to have a VHS copy of the Roger Corman Fantastic Four. It was amazingly horrible. The special effects included a sleeve and glove on what looked like a broomstick to show Reed's stretching power.
sounds must-see to me.
I have a copy of this film somewhere, it's always available at conventions. Check out the trailer I posted.
