Can't wait!*
From worstpreviews, Thanks to PVCBlue, we now have the first look at a CGI Smurf from Sony Pictures Animation's upcoming "Smurfs" movie. The studio has released the promo image in a magazine and the site has been able to scan it. Check it out below.
The logline is being kept under wraps, but the story is expected to feature well-loved characters such as Papa Smurf, Smurfette and the villainous Gargamel. J. David Stem, David N. Weiss (Shrek 2, Shrek the Third) and Audrey Wells (George of the Jungle) wrote the script.
Raja Gosnell (Scooby-Doo, Beverly Hills Chihuahua) has been hired to direct the live action/animated "Smurfs" movie, which is scheduled to be released on December 17th, 2010 in both 2-D and 3-D theaters.
*In case you didn't realize it I was being sarcastic.
