Haiku Hump Day Winner for last week's contest, which is *so* last week.

I'm sorry I didn't make the announcement sooner, I've had to make all of my posts from the device you see above and the propensity for the keys to jam is high. Also, when the hammers hit the screen, there's the common problem of the screen cracking under stress. Someday, I hope science figures out a way around this horrid inconvenience.

Anyhow, I'm naming Stan the victor of this week's contest for this entry:

Time for a road trip
Gotta hand-crank the new car

Ah, let's just not go

Congratulations Stan.

And now it's time to move on.

stan's in LA.

jsp is in LA.

i'm prepping lessons all week and playing host to jsp.

and i waited till the eleventh hour to name a winner.

in short, if we go a week without a haiku topic, it wouldn't surprise me.

I am honored, and tremendously humbled in the face of such other brilliant haikus.

Due to the fact that, as 50 mentioned, we have had a 4-day Horrorthon West Coast Reunion (which has distracted us considerably), I will return with a kick-ass topic next Wednesday.

Tomorrow will be filled with me meeting other LA film type people and then flying back on the redeye, JSP doing whatever it is he is doing down here, 50 studying and passing his final in Advanced Mutant Superpowers, and Octo doing the usual (i.e. fighting crime when the "Octo-Signal" goes up over the haze of nighttime LA). In short, we all need another week to get our shit back on track.

The holiday weekend has been exhausting for all of us. Stay tuned for a return to glory one week from now!

(Cut to Jordan, rubbing his palms together in fiendish glee...)

And 2010 is NOT a bad movie...dammit...

Congrats Stan, I think we needed a week sabbatical after the holiday weekend. Shoot, I hadn't even realized it was Wednesday until I saw this post. I lose my days sometimes, summers off are so rough.

Anyway, looking forward to another fabulous Stan topic next week when everyone is back where they belong and all is right in the world. Sorry Jordan :)
