The Expendables was awesome and I don't care what anyone says. Best movies of 2010:
1) Inception
2) Piranha 3D
3) The Expendables
I'll second that!
We have The Expendables from netflix right now! Haven't watched it yet, but we're looking forward to it.
Tony & I loved The Expendables
agreed on the Expendables.
sure the dialogue is silly and meatheaded -- the characters are silly meatheads.
Expendables was put together to do one thing really well, and it does that thing really well -- the fight scenes are badass. that dolph lundgren/jet li fight was excellent.
Like House of the Devil, The Expendables is an homage to 80s cinema. The Expendables manages to capture the silly adrenaline-fueled meat and potatoes action films of the 80s with a contemporary edginess. It provides near none-stop, over-the-top, balls-to-the walls fistfights and gunplay, nothing more, nothing less. It’s a nerd-fantasy come true to see nearly all the big action hero names in the same film and everyone gets a chance to shine. By time the film reached its climax I was punching the air and yelling “Yeah!” I should mention that I was drinking rum and Coke throughout.
