Star Wars Force Unleashed 2 DLC Takes Callous Liberties With Han Solo & Chewbacca

From nexus404, There’s this video doing the rounds of some new DLC for Jedi-ing simulator and all around critical and commercial disappointment Star Wars Force Unleashed II where a certain lovable rogue with a heart of gold and his pet mutated wolverine are summarily dispatched in a way that’s meant to be callous to the characters and enforce the player’s evil persona, but actually ends up being a lot more callous to players’ psyches and just ends up enforcing George Lucas’ evil persona.

We’ll say one thing, Haden Blackman sure got out of there in the nick of time. Han Solo and Chewbacca pretty much buy the farm, is what we’re saying, but in the most off-hand and indifferent way possible. It’s not epic, it doesn’t even have the time to be sad, the whole scene kind of lies there. Romanticized and overrated as the first Star Wars movies are, they produced some amazingly memorable characters, probably the two most loved of which definitely don’t deserve the treatment they’re getting here.

Jeepers! I know that's not meant to be canon, but dang. Ice-cold.

What the fucking hell. Is nothing sacred?

I think I may have to start enforcing a Star Wars boycott in my life. It's almost like what happened with disco: too much saturation, then we let it go away for a decade or so, then let it come back as a nostalgia thing, then got pissed at it all over again.

The timeline is longer, but I'm now getting seriously pissed off at anything Star Wars. It makes me sad.

And pissed.
