After so many internet rumors it has finally been confirmed that
Shia LaBeouf will appear alongside
Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones 4. Unfortunately however there is no announcement regarding what role he will have. Obviously he will play a sidekick of some kind that will probably also provide some comic relief as well. With Steven Spielberg directing and David Koepp working on the screenplay this one promises to shine when it hits theaters on May 22nd, 2008. Shooting is scheduled to begin in L.A. this June and will film in other distant "locations".
Sixteen rumor-filled years after the third entry in the Indiana Jones saga, the fourth film finds series regulars
Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, and George Lucas returning along with Sean Connery, who was introduced as Henry Jones, Sr. in 1989's Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.
Following the continuing adventures of an aging Indiana Jones in the 1950s, the film finds Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption) assuming screenwriting duties on the first draft this time around, delivering a script based on an original idea by Lucas.

Man, just look at that shit-eating grin! It's like he's saying, "That's right, bitch, I'm in Indy 4!"

How can "sidekick," "comic relief" and "promises to shine" all be coming from the same article? I like cranky fanboys way better than stupidly worshipful fanboys.
But I would, I usually am one.
