Bond getting a new director?

It was only this March that Casino Royale director Martin Campbell hinted that he might be back for the sequel, James Bond 22.

Now though, it looks like he may repeat what he did the first time he took on the Bond franchise. Kick it off, and then leave it for others to ruin/continue. The guys over at the Latino Review say bald and beautiful Marc Forster may direct the next one instead.

Forster has had a string of critical and audience hits over the past few years with Monster’s Ball, Finding Neverland, and Stranger than Fiction. In between those hits was a movie called Stay, which one saw, but they should have since it’s every bit as awesome as his other work. That said, it’s not as if he has a lot of experience directing action movies.

Forster does have a great flair for visual style though, and that could translate well into the slick world of 007. For now, this is just a wild rumor. I have hard time believing Sony has already given up on Campbell, since he seemed so open to doing the next one just a few weeks ago. LR also says that Tony Scott, Alex Proyas, and Jonathan Mostow might be in contention to helm it so hold back your reactions until something more concrete develops.

Hmmm. I don't know this bald, beautiful guy they're talking about but I think Tony Scott has gotten really visually sloppy lately. Like he doesn't know how to actually evolve so he whips the camera around to make shit look "arty."

Well, Spy Game was pretty good. Man On Fire was a mess.

Alex Proyas I'd be excited about. Some of the action scenes in I, Robot were top notch.
