The New York Times has a pretty nice (but short) slideshow featuring some deep sea creatures taken by French journalist Claire Nouvian for her film “The Deep: The Extraordinary Creatures of the Abyss.” The thing above is called the Dumbo Octopus, and it's probably the cutest thing living in the deep. Which isn't a hard title to get, considering everything else down there basically glows in the dark and has about a 1 billion fangs coming out of its mouth.

The sea continues to be horrifying
The New York Times has a pretty nice (but short) slideshow featuring some deep sea creatures taken by French journalist Claire Nouvian for her film “The Deep: The Extraordinary Creatures of the Abyss.” The thing above is called the Dumbo Octopus, and it's probably the cutest thing living in the deep.
