David "Lynch"

From dark horizons, Seems that in the two years Director David Lynch ("Mulholland Drive," "Blue Velvet") spent filming his self-distributed "Inland Empire," he also was filming himself reports Variety.

Now, the result is "Lynch" - a feature-length documentary about his trials and tribulations shooting "Empire".
Theatrical rights will be available at this week's Cannes Film Festival for every global territory except North America, where it will probably be self-distributed.Quirkier still is that the director of this doco, who "lived and worked at Lynch's home," refuses to name himself and says in a statement that, "My goal is to present to the world the unique experience of being with David Lynch for a prolonged period of time, watching him as he creates on a day-to-day basis." Reps at Lynch's distribution shingle denied the possibility of it being Lynch himself - "I can tell you 100% that it's not David," said Eric Bassett.

David Lynch is weird enough that he probably made a mini clone to direct the doc. We'll know for sure if all the camera angles are from 3 feet off the floor.
