Pac-Man's remains unearthed
This Pac-Man skeleton was put together by Le Gentil Garçon and paleontologist François Escuilié, and was modeled after the skeletal structure of predatory animals. Which is basically just a lot of words that could've been replaced with 'Great oogly boogly this is awesome!'

Obviously I must have one of these.
It raises the question - why did the Pac-Men go extinct? Some theories:
1) They starved to death due to the depletion of the world's natural power pellet resources.
2) They ran out of quarters.
3) The creation of the 3rd dimension left them undesirable.
more likely it was a sensory/cognition problem. he doesn't have any eyes or ears. his tendency to drift into walls and remain facing them, while to the left and right, delicious, nourishing pac-dots abound, suggests that he lacks even the most primitive, base-brain reasoning and survival skills, and perhaps, additionally, a sense of touch.
he is neither attracted to that which gives him sustenance, nor repelled by his natural indigenous enemies. without the command of a higher power, his thought process is limited to "go that way till i can't go anymore."
that he was able to survive at the top of the food chain for as many years as he did flies completely in the face of biological science.
I certainly like the idea of the 3rd dimension being some sort of evolutionary advance, Mr. Pants. It sounds like yet another compelling paradigm to add to my and Jordan's Cartoon Reality perspectives, or maybe a theory put forth by the Dad in Calvin and Hobbes.
"You see Calvin, for several million years the Earth's creatures were just drawings, and not very good ones at that."
Marc, I don't think you're giving the Pac-men & women enough credit. They were quite a clever bunch and had the ability to see food and enemies from a bird's eye view. Humans wouldn't have lasted 20 seconds in the maze. Does anyone (aside from JPX) remember the game Tunnel Runner?
Ah Tunnel Runner, my old friend! I love that game even though it went nowehere.
On last week's Family Guy Peter played PMS Ms. Pac-Man. In the bit Ms. Pac-Man is being chased around the maze and all of a sudden she stops and yells at the ghosts. They sheepishly retreat.
