I am sooooo jealous. I still think the best legacy would be to invent a word that became part of everyday language, but this comes in a close second.

I'm on a work-related Ira Levin kick, so I got down my old original 1972 hardcover of The Stepford Wives and read it last night. (It's only like 145 pages long.)
Anyway Random House says this on the flap:
"It is one of those rare novels whose very title may become part of our vocabulary."
Score! That's got to feel great; both doing it, and getting it right beforehand like that. It's like when Steve Jobs actually holds up a machine and says, in so many words, "this device will change the industry," and then it actually does.
