Wall Street 2

From iwatchstuff, This is just the kind of photograph I want hanging in my office, if I ever have an office, and if I ever have a mentor or protégé willing to stand/sit beside me for a professional photo that conveys what an air of dignity we have in this office since I've been working there.

[JPX] And just for the heck of it, here's the trailer,

Bleah. Like I care about the soul and/or fortune of Shia LaBeouf.

The "cell phone" moment was pretty funny.

That may be part of the point. For sheer awfulness, Charlie Sheen is hard to beat, but LaBeouf comes close.

Hmm, for me they're different beasts. I kind of like Charlie Sheen.

The more I think about this, the more ridiculous it seems that we're supposed to accept Shia LaBeouf as a Wall Street power player. Like, did he make his money from his paper route?

Sheen can do comedy very well (unlike LaBeouf, who, for some reason, is constantly compelled to attempt it), but as a straight-up dramatic star he's a pretty empty vessel. And he exhales after every line. Watch Wall Street and you'll be doing it along with him. "Who am I? Eeghh..."

LaBeouf isn't any younger than Sheen was back then. He's just a little pissy-pants; it's got nothing to do with his chronological age.

I think you made my point quite well...

I liked him in Holes, maybe he should have stuck with Disney.

Just feel the need to point out, that is Martin Sheen - not Charlie Sheen.

But Octo's first comment sums up exactly how I feel about Shia LaBeouf. Bleah.

DCD, Charlie Sheen starred in the original Wall Street with Martin. I don't remember a thing about the original film except that the closing credits had that awesome Talking Heads song, "This Must be the Place". I always made sure that I cleaned that theater because I loved the song. The first time I ever heard it was in this film.

"He's just a little pissy-pants" Best line of the week.
