Yellow Submarine remake update

From worstpreviews, Robert Zemeckis is prepping the remake of Beatles' "Yellow Submarine," which he will direct for Disney. THR has learned that he is already in talks with actors to star as the famous musicians.

Cary Elwes (Saw) is in talks to play George Harrison, Dean Lennox Kelly ("Robin Hood") is in talks to play John Lennon, Peter Serafinowicz (Couples Retreat) is in talks to play Paul McCartney, and Adam Campbell (Epic Movie) is in talks to play Ringo Starr. Check out image below to see the actors next to the musicians.

The original 1968 animated movie was based on the music by the Beatles and featured a storyline wherein a soldier called Old Fred meets up with the Beatles and travels in a yellow submersible to Pepperland. Among the group's encounters are the music-hating Blue Meanies.

As with his last three films, Zemeckis is making the movie using 3D performance-capture technology.
